'Tis the season!!

I have been the worst blogger but truth be told I have been super slow here at Kerry Ann photography. I knew it would be slow this month and I thought that would be okay since my oldest started Kindergarten this year!! Woohoo. Now that I'm in the groove of life I'm about to flip it all upside down with the crazy "Holiday" season. I am pretty much booked solid for the months of October and November. It all happened in the course of a week too!!

I do have a few dates available. October 24th and 25th. November 1st, 22nd and maybe a 29th...if it's wanted it's open but that is Turkey weekend. I try to only book one session a day and I only work on the weekends. But I give you my wonderful clients and friends as long as we need on a shoot and I want to have FUN! No rushing and no worrying. Plus I like to spend a few hours with my family. Most days that is;-)

This year I would love to design some Christmas cards for my booked clients too!! I'm hoping to get a few examples finished tonight and up here to show. I'll have pricing then too. But my hopes are to design each card a bit differently and with special meaning for each of you.

Baby Stella {St. Paul Newborn Portraiture}

Aren't her lips to sweetest things you've ever seen?

I am SO lucky. My best friend Heidi lives in St Paul, MN and we don't get to see each other but once a year. Now that we both have 3 kids once a year is all it's going to be for many years to come. So being that it was my turn to make the trip I made it 3 days after she has her 3rd baby!!! 3 days I KNOW! First off bless her heart for letting me come during this busy time but I had to see this baby. And this was the only time I could do it. (both of us have 5 year olds about to go to Kindergarten!) I wanted to help her out and I wanted to get my mitts on that baby so I could photograph her in fun poses. I haven't been able to do much newborn work and when I do I'm not certain how to get that "look". Being it was Heidi's 3rd and she knows me well I knew I could play with that baby for hours and not worry about an upset new mommy or really ticked off little itty bitty baby!! Stella was a trooper. Here are a few of my favorites from our time together.

Meyer Family-sneak peek {Tacoma Family Photographer}

This Sunday I drove down to Tacoma and for the first time saw Point Defiance Park. Holy smokes it's beautiful there!! I met up with the Meyer family to takes some of their very first family portraits. They recently adopted Miss E from China and in those short 8 months have formed such a tight and lovely bond. It felt as though they had been a family forever...or at least 3 years;-) Thanks for the honor of photographing your family. Your daughter is amazing. But you already knew that!

So here's your sneak peek much, much more to come. I'm off camping for a couple days with the fam. Wish me luck, it's our first outing as a family of 5. This will either be super fun or super duper unfun. I'm hoping for the fun!

Benson Family {family and lifestyle portraiture}

Here's a few snaps of the super cutie Benson boys. T was 10 weeks and his older bro C just turned 4. Isn't T the sweetest little bald guy!! Such a good baby.
Me and C were hitting it off super fantastic and went on our own adventure to take a few shot of him and his balloon. I was holding onto his balloon for him while we climbed some stairs...I tied it to my pony tail....BIG, HUGE mistake. It got caught on a tree and flew off!!! OMG he was not happy with me and I felt horrible. I just feel lucky I was able to get a few more shots of him and a couple with his baby brother.
Of course I replaced his prized birthday balloon with a giant 4th of July balloon. I just hope it made up for my rookie mistake. I know better then this....OY!

Meet Luke and Meg!! They are my great friend Heather's kids. Her and I discovered this location several months ago when we did a photo shoot with her sister. She had been dying to get back there with her kids. Well, we finally did it!! Luke as you can see is a such the little model. Meg was silly and running around so it was hard to get one of her actually looking at me, I have TONS of her blurry and jumping around!! Wild woman!
